Colombia is the country with the greatest bird diversity in the world, with about 1,921 registered and about 79 endemic species. Whether you are a bird lover or not (yet), in Colombia it is virtually impossible not to fall for the attraction of the many different, colorful birds.

In the coffee region, on Hacienda Venecia near Manizales, a special bird tour is offered: not only for absolute bird specialists, but also for all those who don’t know anything about birds yet, but would like to see one or another. With simple tools, which are explained in the Hacienda, every visitor can become an amateur birdwatcher and admire the colorful bird show at different bird hotspots of the hacienda.

The whole thing is free of charge and only requires a short introduction by the staff of the Hacienda. If you prefer something more specialized, you can also book a guide and go birding with him early in the morning. About 260 species can be discovered at the Hacienda.
