At Neptuno, sustainability is not a label we simply attach to ourselves – it is a commitment that we strive to live together with our partners throughout the entire value chain. Our goal is to ensure that our values are shared and put into practice by all our local partners, including hotels, guides, transport providers, and other service suppliers.
Transparency through our Partner Portal
To achieve this, we have created the Centro de Aliados (partner portal). Through this platform, we share our sustainability standards directly with all service providers.
We ask our partners to actively acknowledge these guidelines and complete detailed questionnaires based on TourCert criteria, as well as specific assessments related to fair cooperation with local communities. This allows us to gain a clearer understanding of their sustainability practices and social impact.
A Measurable Framework: Our Sustainability Matrix
Based on these self-assessments and the supporting documentation provided by our partners, we use our own Sustainability Matrix. This scoring system helps us evaluate the environmental and socio-cultural performance of our products and services.
The rating supports us in shaping our product portfolio more consciously by prioritizing partners who demonstrate a genuine commitment to environmental and social responsibility.
For our tour operator partners, this means greater transparency and confidence that we actively promote suppliers who take responsibility and contribute positively to their destinations.
Continuous Dialogue Instead of One-Time Control
Sustainability is not achieved through policies and evaluations alone. For this reason, we place great importance on maintaining an ongoing dialogue with our partners.
Through meetings, industry events, and our daily collaboration, we regularly address topics such as sustainability, fair cooperation with local communities, cultural respect, and responsible travel practices.
An important tool in this process is our regular information series for guides and tour leaders, through which we share updates, best practices, and sustainability-related topics throughout the travel value chain. In this way, we raise awareness of responsible tourism practices and encourage the exchange of experiences and knowledge within our network.
Our objective is not only to assess the current status of our partners, but also to foster a process of continuous improvement together.
