DAY 1: ARRIVAL BOGOTÁ
Arrival in Bogotá, reception by the bilingual guide and transfer to your high end hotel. 2 nights including breakfast.

DAY 2: BOGOTÁ
Fullday city tour Bogotá
Get on a time travel from the colonial age to the modern city life. The tour starts at the grand Plaza Bolivar and its surrounding gonvernment buildings. The historic center, la Candelaria, is only a stone´s throw away, just like Bogota´s oldest church, the Iglesia de San Francisco. From here you keeo going back even further in time and visit the world´s famous Gold Museum, exhibiting more than 3000 pre-Colombian gold exhibits (closed on Mondays). Right next to you it, you pay a visit to the Emerald museum where you get to admire the deep blue jewels. Our experts, take you to a market, where emeralds are traded and tell you all about its history. (Monday – Friday).
Afterwards enjoy an excellent cup of coffee, while being told about the different aromas of Colombias high quality coffee.
In the late afternoon, after you freshend up at the hotel, you take the cable car up to Monserrate. Enjoy the impressive view of the nine-million-metropole and the surrounding green plateaus from up here. To finish this great day, have an exclusive dinner at the french restaurant San Isidirio before making your way back to the hotel (by cable car).
Attention: Monserrate can get very busy on Sundays, and you might face a long line up.

DAY 3: BOGOTÁ – CARTAGENA
After breakfast you are taken to the airport and take a plane to the pearl of the caribbean, Cartagena.
Make yourself at home at your hotel in the historic center, and in the late afternoon enjoy a romantic horse carriage ride through Cartagena´s center. Be amazed by the walled city and its iluminated balconies. Give free rein to your phantasy while listening the coachman´s charming stories about each little alleyway. The afternoon finishes with a romantic dinner in one of the best restaurants of the historic center, El Santisimo or Palosanto.

DAY 4: CARTAGENA
Half day city tour through Cartagena
Cartagena de Indias is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cities in America. Its historic center (walled by fortifications built in the colonial period) still boasts original architecture and nowadays displays infinite colors that fill this city with the typically Caribbean life and joy. Its fascinating history as one of the pearls of that time – a depository for great treasures, a slave port for the colonies – bestow an immense importance to this patrimonial “city of humanity”. Stories of large-scale pirate attacks are present in each of the fortifications that remain intact today.
This fascinating half-day tour starts with the visit of the most important monuments of Cartagena. We start at the Convent of La Popa (the highest point of the city) and continue to the Castillo de San Felipe, an immense fort filled with history and mysteries hidden in its stonewalled tunnels. Certainly the most impressive monument is the gigantic defensive wall that surrounds the old city, and overlooks the sea and its well-preserved colonial architecture. During the rest of the visit you will see the city’s churches, museums, plazas, restaurants, shops and jewelry stores. This combination of treasures makes Cartagena deserving of the title of UNESCO World Heritage Site: You will never forget this wonderful destination.
Attention: You can chose between a visit to La Popa or the monastery San Pedro Claver.
In the afternoon we depart onto a 2 hour private sailing trip through the bay of Cartagena. You will get to watch the beautiful sunset between the modern skyscrapers and the colonial center in the background. Enjoy a delicious cocktail on board (not included).
Recomendation: Upon request, we provide a bottle of rum and you can enjoy some tasty Cuba Libres on board (not included).
The sailing trip ends at the pier of Restaurant Club de Pesca, with amazing view over the bay and the skyscrapers, where you are served an exquisit dinner.

DAY 5: CARTAGENA
Birdwatching at Aviario Nacional de Colombia in Barú
Colombia holds the largest avian diversity in the world with over 1,903 species, an equivalent to 20% of all the bird species on earth. Among these scientist count 197 species of migratory birds and 71 endemic species. Near Cartagena on the peninsula of Baru we have the opportunity to experience this diversity on a walk around the continent’s largest aviary, which houses six environments, including tropical rainforests, the coastlines and the desert. On seven hectares we can observe about 1800 specimens of 138 species of birds, including the harpy eagle, the Caribbean toucan, pink flamingos and the Andean condor. The tourist attraction aims to promote conservation, reproduction and repopulation of the Colombian avifauna. The transfer from/to the hotel to/from the peninsula of Baru takes about 1 hour and crosses the port and industrial area of the city as well as the Dique canal. Our visit to the aviary takes around 3 hours.

Rum Tasting
The Spaniards transformed America by bringing new goods and customs to the continent. On the other hand, we Americans took many of them and transformed them, to create an identity and product of our own. This is the case of sugar cane, which was taken to another level, and today is the base of one of the most exquisite drinks in the world. Venture into a fun world learning about the Caribbean’s most famous drink, RUM.
We pick you up from your hotel and start our tour walking to the picturesque neighborhood of Getsemani. In the Bar El Arsenal we meet with Abraham Dau, who owns the most complete collection of Colombian rums in the country, and is considered one of the best 5 mixologists in Colombia. On this journey of flavors we will try 8 different Colombian rums, cataloged as the best in the world – some as shots, others we sip, and others in cocktails. This whole explosion of flavors is accompanied by the best Colombian chocolate; a combination that you will surely never forget.

DAY 6: CARTGENA – PROVIDENCIA
Providencia ist eine paradiesische Insel in der Karibik und gehört zum Archipel von San Andres, Santa Catalina und Providencia. Die Insel ist 7km lang und 6,5km breit und liegt 90km nördlich von San Andres. Providencia hat mit Palmen umgebene, weiße, unberührte Strände und glasklares, türkisenes Wasser zu bieten und lädt geradezu zum Tauchen und Schnorcheln in den Korallenriffen ein.
After breakfast you are taken to the airport and depart first to San Andres where you switch to a smaller airplane that takes you to Providencia.
Upon arrival you are taken directly to your high class hotel right at the beachv.

DAY 7: PROVIDENCIA

DAY 8: PROVIDENCIA
In the morning you go on a boat trip around the island. Be amazed by the different shades of blue of the ocean and the lush green hills of the island.

DAY 9: PROVIDENCIA

DAY 10: PROVIDENCIA – BOGOTA
Enjoy your last breakfast on the island, before leaving the caribbean coast and flying back to Bogota, via San Andres. In Bogotá you spend another night at your high end hotel.
