Sustainability is and remains a critical issue in tourism. We are very aware that the generation of CO2 emissions, in particular, is unfortunately almost unavoidable in certain quantities due to the long distances and various activities involved in travelling. At Neptuno, however, we are working hard to mitigate our CO2 footprint step by step – this includes both our direct emissions and those of our travelers – and to offset it in different ways.

In addition to our constantly growing range of tours with a sustainable aspect and round trips with fewer flights, we have been supporting the Saving the Amazon project since last year, which is committed to the conservation of local flora and fauna in the Amazon region of Colombia and the fair involvement of the local population. By planting various local tree species, we contributed to the offset of around 136 tons of CO2. Even though this is just a small start, we are optimistic that we will find ways and means to reduce and offset our CO2 emissions as much as possible in the coming years.

If you would like to actively participate in compensationg the emissions of your customers’ trips, or would like to find out more about sustainability at Neptuno in general, you are welcome to contact us at any time.
